In the Early hours of Monday April 19th, 2021, The staff and students of the University Of Jos Embarked on a massive Protest of which most students and and Staff Were left stranded outside the main campus gate and permanent site gate.
Both Gates were locked with students holding various placards with the inscription " Say no to External Interference ".
The protest is purported to be about an alleged plan to bring in an executive secretary after the expiration of the tenure of the vice chancellor pending the appointment of a vice chancellor.
However the The Students Union Government In a press release called for calmness as they are attending a press conference today also adding that every call for a protest from whatever angle should be disregarded.

This is to inform all JOSITE that the Student Union Government is not calling for any form of protest.
The Students Union Government is only attending a press conference today, as such every call for a protest from whatever angle should be disregarded.
Finally, exams shall proceed as planned and anybody who misses any exams for whatever reason that is connected with the press conference does so at his or her own peril.
